a. When visiting the website:
When you visit our website https://www.marketplace.hamburg/, the browser you are using on your terminal device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information will be temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information will be recorded without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:
- IP address of the requesting computer,
- date and time of access,
- name and URL of files accessed,
- website from which access has been made (Referrer-URL),
- the browser used and, if applicable, your computer´s operating system, and your access provider´s name.
We will be processing the above-mentioned data for the following purposes:

The primary purpose of our website is to enable participating companies to advertise their digital services for the Port of Hamburg and thus increase their visibility for interested parties. Additionally, links to our social media profiles, labelled with corresponding icons, are included on our website too.
The integration of these links as such does not result in any processing of personal data. However, if you click on one of these buttons, you will be taken to the respective website. We provide various ways (in particular a contact form) on our website that you can use to contact us.
If you choose to use them, we process your personal data (in particular form of address, name, e-mail address or telephone number, and all information provided in the course of communication) exclusively to answer your inquiry.
The legal basis for this data processing is Article 6 para 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from wanting to process your request to your satisfaction. In view of your proactive contact, it is not apparent that this interest would conflict with any of your interests.
If you contact us aiming at concluding a contract with us, in particular if you would like to participate in the Marketplace with your company, the legal basis for this data processing is Article 6 para 1 lit. b GDPR as well.

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below.
We only transmit your personal data to third parties if:
- you have given your express consent in accordance with Article 6 para 1 lit. a GDPR,
- the disclosure is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims pursuant to Article 6 para 1 lit. f GDPR and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing your data,
- in the event that there is a legal obligation for the disclosure pursuant to Article 6 para 1 lit. c GDPR, and
- it is legally permissible and necessary for the processing of contractual relationships with you in accordance with Article 6 para 1 lit. b GDPR.

We use Cookies on our website. Cookies are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your terminal device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your terminal device and do not contain any viruses, Trojans or other malware. If your personal data are processed based on legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6 para 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Article 21 GDPR, provided that there are reasons on grounds relating to your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. 7. Data security:
We use the most common SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in connection with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. Usually this is a 256 bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. Whether a single page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form can be seen from the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the status bar of your browser.
We make use of the rest of the adequate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
